What makes office carpet different

Most Hong Kong offices have carpet tile, usually on raised flooring with cables below. Water and raised floors do not mix well, so the amount of moisture used really matters.

The typical problems are also different from homes: dark paths between desks and the pantry, coffee spills under workstations, wheel marks from chairs, and grey patches around printers.

How we plan an office clean

1. Survey. We look at the carpet type, floor build-up, stained areas, and how the space is used.
2. Method. Generally low-moisture cleaning for regular maintenance, with hot water extraction for heavier soil, where the floor allows it.
3. Building rules. We work with your facilities or property management team on hours, goods lift use, and any permits or documents required.
4. Schedule. We work evenings or weekends so that the carpet is ready for Monday.

Moving furniture and IT equipment

Desks with cabling usually stay put. We clean around them, and can agree which areas need lifting, moving or special treatment. Please arrange to have personal items and any loose cables cleared from the floor.

One-off or regular

One-off cleans work well before a lease ends, a client visit or a company move. If your lease requires professional carpet cleaning at handover, check the wording, and let us know what documentation you need.
